Fundraiser for Ukraine

Dear all, we are aiming to raise £18,000 to travel to Ukraine in August 2026. Following the success of our theatre camp during our visit to Ukraine in April 2025, we plan to organise a second theatre camp in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, from August 1st to 14th. We intend to bring two puppeteers from The Fetch Theatre (UK) to create a community show with children from frontline areas and local residents. The show will be based on the Ukrainian fairy tale "Little Pea," where Little Pea battles a Big Dragon. We will craft a puppet of the dragon and parade it through the streets. The funds we raise will cover food, transport, and accommodation for over 20 young people and leaders for two weeks, as well as the running costs and materials needed for this residential camp.

We have raised about £2,500 so far. Please support this project by donating to the Legacy of War Foundation, a UK-registered charity that sends funds directly to our partner project in Ukraine, NGO Molotok, to organise the camp.
Molotok, meaning Hammer in Ukrainian, is a small non-governmental organisation working with children and young people in rural Transcarpathia, Ukraine. They offer weekly sessions for children, youth clubs, art camps, and camps for mothers and children born during the full-scale war in Ukraine. I have supported their work since moving to the UK 17 years ago, and I am proud to continue supporting them.
We would appreciate any support or ideas.
Always greatful for your donations.
Nataliya
