Theatre project in Ukraine

We did it!

Working with over 20 young people from all over Ukraine, we created a

show in just ten days.

The show, called Little Pea, was based on a traditional Ukrainian folk story about a young person who was born as small as a Pea but as strong as an ox.

Little pea goes on a quest to save her brothers from a fierce dragon.

All the young performers and everyone involved in creating the show were all absolutely amazing.

We also made a huge dragon in the time that we were there.

It was an honour to work with young people , who are exsperianceing the trauma of war and yet show such passion for creativity, theatre and art.

They showed that creative expression is at the heart of freedom and that their energy and enthusiasm is a gift to us all.

This experience will fuel my own belief in theatre for years to come.
