Ukrainian Pysanky Egg decorating method – etched with vinegar!!

 

This Pysanky Ukrainian egg decorating workshop will take place Sunday March 11th, 10 am to 1 pm, . The workshop will be run by artist Helena Orlowski and Nataliya Cummings. An age old tradition of egg decoration in celebration of Spring, and with the arrival of Christianity, Ukrainians now make this exquisite egg art in Celebration of Easter. 3 hour long workshop hosted by Helena Orlowski in her beautiful house in Kingsthorne, HR2 8AJ.

Spend the morning in a calm and friendly atmosphere and make a traditional wax-resist Ukrainian Easter Egg but this time etched with vinegar. 

This 3-hour workshop includes an introduction to the Ukrainian Pysanky tradition and explanation of other ways of making the traditional Pysanky egg. 

All materials are supplied along with traditional Ukrainian Herbal tea , traditional Ukrainian lunch (suitable for vegetarians and vegans) and delicious cake.
