Lizhnyk is a traditional hand spun and handwoven wool rug. It has been hand spun with a drop spindle and handwoven on a traditional huge wooden loom and then fulled(felted) in a mountain stream for 6 to 8 hours. Lizhnyks are only made in one little village in Yavoriv by around 60 families. It is made from 100% sheeps wool with lanolin inside.Cleaning and washing instructions:We recommend to beat them out outside every now and again. You can also wash them in a burg tub in cold water and leave them outside to dry. Lizhnyks are very hardwearing and versatile . It can be used as a rug or throw or a wall hanging.
